Founded in 2013, TigerQi Architecture: Lavina Liburd Architect is a boutique design firm with a Vision to provide elegant Contemporary Architecture to the wider Caribbean region. We specialize in a contemporary design approach which embraces simplicity and minimalism, but which also respects the environment and incorporates regional building traditions. Our office works on mid-scale projects in all sectors, crafting unique and responsive leisure, corporate, residential and other spaces that go above and beyond the standard building experience.

Our working model is flexible and international. TigerQi Architecture: Lavina Liburd Architect maintains cooperative relationships with other small and mid-sized architecture firms, drafting services, and consultants, to readily staff and execute projects at a high level of creativity and quality.

 

Lavina Liburd
Principal

Lavina is a graduate of Florida A&M University and the University of California at Berkeley. She holds a professional Bachelor of Architecture degree as well as a Master of Science in Architecture with an emphasis on Environmental Design in Developing Countries. She is a Licensed Architect in the State of California, USA, a member of the Virgin Islands Architects and Engineers Association, and Past President of the Rotary Club of Road Town (2019-20).

In her over two decades of practice, she has worked with mid-size and large firms on projects in the fields of transportation, justice, education, luxury residential, resort and commercial buildings. Her work has been recognized by the International Property Awards in 2018-19 and 2019-20, published by the RIBA (Royal Institute of British Architects) Press in the book “100 Women Architects in Practice”, and now published in the Wallpaper* Magazine Architects Directory for 2024 list of “exciting emerging Architecture Studios”.
